We plant trees on degraded lands.
Nigeria has lost 60% of its forest cover, and desertification is creeping in on our people. Putting trees back on bare land is how that is reversed.
Why it matters
A halt to the desert
Tree cover stops desertification from creeping further south.
Richer soil
Trees feed the soil and keep farmland productive for longer.
